These characteristic eastern bloc vehicles were produced in quantity by Grlitz in batches between 1961 and 1971. They usually operate in four-car sets, and M.A.R.C. Models also have the intermediate cars in preparation.This particular pair was assembled and specifically numbered to representthe vehicles recently used around Wolsztyn with the visiting G.W.R. Prairie: modellers wishing to emulate these workings will now only have to find such a loco in HO scale! The models are principally of etched brass construction, complete with interior, with some cast details (e.g. correct pattern bogie side frames). A sprung card ‘concertina’ links the vehicles.
